Female sexual dysfunction (FSD) is encompasses a disturbance in sexual functioning involving one or more phases of the sexual response cycle. FSD is a multifactorial condition that has anatomical, physiological, medical, psychological, and social components.(1)<\/p>

FSF has traditionally included disorders of desire, arousal, pain\/discomfort, and inhibited orgasm,<\/u>(2) but according to DSM 5, FSD categories included orgasmic disorder, sexual interest\/arousal disorder and <\/u>genito<\/u>-pelvic pain\/penetration disorder.<\/u><\/p>

Despite lack of epidemiological data, the available estimates are that 43% of women complain of at least one sexual problem.<\/u> (3)<\/p>
