He was a senior Member/ Fellow of the Royal College Of Obstetricians and Gynecologist, London since 1972. He had considerable clinical experience as he had practiced Medicine in the UK, Egypt, Saudia Arabia and Kuwait.
He was greatly interested and well experienced in teaching under and postgraduate medical students and had successfully run his written and oral MRCOG part 2 courses, he had over 30 publications in peer reviewed international journals since 1972. He had authored 2 MRCOG part 2 examination books.
He was a peer reviewer at some international medical journals, e.g. BJOG.He passed away in 3 Feb., 2020.

He is the president of The International Cosmetic Gynecology Conference ICGC. Dubai, He is the president of the American Board of Cosmetic Gynecology. As well he is the president of the International Cosmetic Gynecology symposia held annually worldwide in many countries including, Egypt, Pakistan, Qatar, the Philippines and others.
He is Board Certified by the American Board of Laser Surgery. Dr. El-Attar has described the TOPAL procedure for tumescent in office power assisted laser liposuction in 2009. Since then more than 24000 procedures, performed by himself and his students, and associates in over twenty countries has been performed with zero complication rate. A world record he still holds for his novel technique.
He has several publications in the most reputable medical and surgical journals. He had taught physicians both in USA and in over 30 other countries about recent advances in aesthetic medicine and surgery.
Dr. Elattar is a world-renowned Aesthetic Physician and surgeon. He is the President of the American Aesthetic Association. He founded Derma Laser Centers of New Jersey established in October 2002.
He graduated from Alexandria Medical School with honors in 1987. He completed residencies in both General Surgery and Family Medicine, and obtained a Masters Degree of surgery in 1992. He was an assistant lecturer of Surgery at Alexandria University, and a visiting instructor of Surgery at the Medical College of Ohio, USA. He then finalized his Ph.D. thesis in 1998.
